The second-hand marketplace Shoppers Share Anger About Sizing Modifications
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in listings displaying inaccurate size information.
This online marketplace has revised its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.

Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification than originally posted as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the new system was more in line with similar services.
They have suggested members to check their listings and manually change the size where appropriate, causing user dissatisfaction.
Size Classification Changes
Before the change, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range such as S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.
Member Experiences
A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
A different member, located in Scotland, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she said.
Necessary Adjustments
A different user, based in Derby, said she had been left angered due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizes on "every single listing".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
Marketplace Information
The service features exceeding 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, the service retracted a modification concerning shipment methods due to shopper criticism.
